Sealed Bids for the construction of Contract 17.0 – Pump Station Renovations will be received by the City of Laurinburg at City Hall, 303 W. Church Street, Room 221, Laurinburg, North Carolina 28352 until 2:00pm local time on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.  The Project consists of renovation to eleven pump stations, including new pumps, valves, piping, wet well coating, electrical equipment, and site improvements.  

The Issuing Office for Bidding Documents is Duncan Parnell (https://bidroom.duncan-parnell.com).  Documents may be obtained for a purchase price as listed on their website.  All payments are to be made to Duncan Parnell.  Prospective bidders must purchase Bidding Documents directly through Duncan Parnell in order to be considered an official plan holder.  Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.

City of Laurinburg – Pump Station Renovations

Sealed Bids for the construction of Contract 18.0 – Elevated Storage Tank Improvements will be received by the City of Laurinburg at City Hall, 303 W. Church Street, Room 221, Laurinburg, North Carolina 28352 until 3:00pm local time on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.  The Project consists of repair and recoating of two elevated storage tanks, clean and paint valve piping, repair grout at foundations, and all appurtenances. The tanks included are the Caledonia Road tank (750,000 gallons) and the 401 South tank (500,000 gallons).  The proposed start date for the work is Spring/Summer of 2025.

City of Laurinburg – Elevated Storage Tank Improvements , Caledonia Road Tank and 401 South Tank

Sealed Bids for the construction of Contract 15.0 – Southpoint Pump Station and Force Main will be received by the Town of Mocksville, at Town Hall, 171 South Clement Street, Mocksville, NC 27028, until 3:00 pm local time on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.  The Project consists of constructing a new duplex, submersible pump station, approximately 3,096 linear feet of 8-inch force main, and all appurtenances. The new pump station will replace an existing, smaller pump station to be demolished at the project site on Enterprise Way in Mocksville, NC.

Town of Mocksville – Southpoint Pump Station and Force Main

Sealed Bids for the construction of Contract 16.0 – North Elevated Tank will be received by the Town of Mocksville, at Town Hall, 171 South Clement Street, Mocksville, NC 27028, until 2:00 pm local time on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.  The Project consists of constructing a 500,000 gallon elevated storage tank, approximately 90 linear feet of 12-inch water line and all appurtenances.

Sealed Bids for the construction of Contract 18.0 – Lower Dutchman’s Creek Sewer were received by the City of Mount Holly on March 14, 2024, at which time the Bids received were publicly opened and read.  The Project consists of replacing approximately 4,600 linear feet of 15-inch sewer with new 30-inch sewer, 25 manholes and all appurtenances.

City of Mount Holly – Lower Dutchman’s Creek Parallel Sewer

Sealed bids for the construction of the Flocculation and Sedimentation Improvements were received by Cleveland County Water on Tuesday, February 29, 2024,  at which time the Bids received were publicly opened and read. The Project consists of constructing three new rapid mixers and two new flocculators, renovating the existing sedimentation basins and flocculators, extending the chemical feed system, and installing approximately 115 linear feet of 24-inch raw water line including all appurtenances.

Cleveland County Water – Flocculation and Sedimentation Improvements

Sealed Bids for the construction of Bridge Creek and College Park Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Contract 14.0 – CCTV were received by City of Laurinburg on Thursday, February 29, at which time the Bids received were publicly opened and read. The Project consists of cleaning and CCTV of approximately 171,900 linear feet of 8-inch through 24-inch sewer lines.

Construction Anticipated to Begin Summer 2024

City of Laurinburg, Bridge Creek and College Park Sewer Rehab, Contract 14.0 – CCTV

Bids for the construction of the Raw Water Weir Improvements Phase 1 were received at the Cleveland County Water Administration Building on Thursday, February 8, 2024. At that time the Bids received were publicly opened and read.  The Project consists of construction of one new low-head weir, including a moveable crest gate and boulder cascades. The Project will also include stabilization of the stream banks.

Sealed Bids for the construction of the Riverbend Elevated Storage Tank and Water Line were received by the City of Mount Holly on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at which time the Bids received were publicly opened and read.  The Project consists of constructing a 500,000 gallon elevated storage tank, approximately 2,000 linear feet of 12-inch water line and all appurtenances.

Sealed Bids for the construction of Contract 13.0 – Distribution System Improvements Phase 2 were received by the City of Laurinburg on November 22, 2022, at which time the Bids received were publicly opened and read.  The Project consists of constructing approximately 10,400 feet of 20-inch water line, 640 feet of 16-inch water line, 850 feet of 12-inch, 1,340 feet of 8-inch, and 320 feet of 6-inch water line and all appurtenances.

Sealed Bids for the construction of the Contract 12.0 – Pump Station, Force Main, and Water Line were received, by the Town of Mocksville on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at which time the Bids received were publicly opened and read.  The Project consists of constructing approximately 10,155 linear feet of 8-inch force main, 688 linear feet of 8-inch gravity sewer, 1,803 linear feet of 12-inch water line, a new duplex pump station, and all appurtenances.

Sealed Bids for the construction of Contract 12.0 – Influent Pump Station Improvements were received by the City of Laurinburg on Thursday, March 3, 2022, at which time the Bids received were publicly opened and read. The Project consists of constructing a new headworks and influent pump station and associated piping and site improvements.  The project also includes demolition of existing facilities.
