Town of Mooresville – McCrary Creek Pump Station Improvements

The Town of Mooresville operates the McCrary Creek Pump Station, which provides service to customers located in Morrison Plantation. The pump station was constructed in the early 2000’s and utilized an in-channel grinder intended to grind any solids that entered the station. Over the years the Town has experienced difficulty with operation of the pump station primarily due to the ground solids accumulating in the wet well. The Town retained Willis Engineers to design improvements to the pump station including the removal of the grinder equipment and the installation of new mechanical screening and conveyor equipment. The project was successfully completed in December of 2018 and operation of the pump station has improved significantly.
