The City of Mount Holly owns and operates an extensive wastewater collection and treatment system providing service to customers throughout the City. Significant development interest on the north side of the City prompted the expansion of their wastewater collection system. The Dutchman’s Creek Parallel Sewer project includes installation of approximately 8,600 linear feet of 30-inch gravity sewer. The new gravity sewer runs along Dutchman’s Creek and parallels an existing, smaller diameter gravity sewer conveying wastewater to the Mount Holly WWTP. Construction was completed in Summer 2021 and has increased the City’s wastewater capacity for anticipated future growth.
